On Sunday 19 July our lads beat Devon at Feniton BC by 73-53 to retain the Junior League Trophy. Manager Don Fowkes writes………..As always against Devon the game was played in a fantastic spirit. At 10 ends Devon were one shot in front (29-30) but the Somerset boys went up a gear and played suberbly well in the second half of the game. Reece White’s rink were all on top form and beat a very subdued Will Stevens’ rink by 19 shots (34-15). It was a tremendous offort and we were able to retain the SWC League Trophy which we won last year. The support was fantastic and I would like to thank all the Somerset officials who came to Devon, with a special mention to President Barrie Davis and Dave Bendall, who have supported the Juniors from the very start of the season…………… Rinks scores by skip: Sam Steel 14-24; Luke Townsend 25-14; Reece White 34-15.
